I realize why it's difficult to talk about oneself: we're never sure where self-description ends and self-aggrandizement begins. We don't want to fall foul of either fallacy highlighted by the Dunning-Kruger effect; and we're not sure how to avoid them both.
I'm a software craftsman by vocation, an egalitarian by choice, and a consensus-builder by aspiration.
